MATERNA GmbH Information & Communications with its headquarters in Dortmund, Germany, was founded in 1980 by Dr. Winfried Materna and Helmut an de Meulen and they both manage the company as its Managing Directors today. MATERNA plays an active role in the international information and communication technology markets.

Currently, the company has some 1,200 employees worldwide. Group sales in 2006 were approximately 150 million euros. MATERNA has offices on federal German territory and also in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Moreover, we make indirect sales using multipliers such as partner companies in several European countries.

The company has been arranged in the two business areas of Information and Communications since 2000:

The Information Business Unit concentrates on the optimisation of processes, based on professional IT solutions. The solution portfolio is tailored to the requirements of companies and contracting authorities. These include the topic fields IT Service Management, Customer Service Management, Government Services and SAP Consulting Services. More information is available under www.materna.de.

The Communications Business Unit offers valued-added services for cellular phone operators, service providers, companies and fixed network operators. This sector focuses on the preparation and marketing of mobile content, the distribution of mobile contents and high-performing solutions such as platforms and gateways. Moreover, the business area works on the international market as MVNE and also sells CUSS solutions for airlines and airports.
