Anny Way Mobile Data Gateway wins Global Messaging Award
International success for MATERNA

The 160characters Association, one of the leading not-for-profit membership forum for mobile messaging professionals, has awarded the 2005 Global Messaging Award to the the Anny Way Mobile Data Gateway developed by MATERNA Information & Communications. The judges have selected the MATERNA solution in the category “Best SMS/MMS network infrastructure or platform”.
Awarded for the product that enhanced the existing messaging network. 160characters received more than 110 entries from 23 countries on 5 continents.
The Anny Way Mobile Data Gateway from MATERNA was the first WAP 2.x Gateway which supported not just the new protocol stacks of TCP and WP HTTP which gave a much improved proved browsing experience including colour and on line forms, both browsers features familiar to users form the fixed internet. It also supports the older WAP 1.x standards. Through supporting all these protocols this enabled mobile operators and service providers to use the Anny Way Mobile Data Gateway as the only central component for al Mobile Data Services as it supports all mobile WAP enabled devices including: legacy, WAP 2.0 handsets, PDAs and Laptop Computers are all supported for the one Gateway.
Numerous renowned companies are already working with the Anny Way Mobile Data Gateway. The British mmO2-group uses the solution in Great Britain since January 2004. The flexibility and scalability of the Anny Way Mobile Data Gateway gives O2 the ability to quickly expand capacity at minimum cost, to meet the rapid growth in WAP, MMS and Java games services it is currently seeing. Integrated into the O2 network, it forms one of the largest gateways in use in the UK and currently servicing around 36,000,000 WAP page impressions a day.
