World novelty - MATERNA is both provider and operator of Fixed Net SMS Center
ETSI standard completely fulfilled

MATERNA, with its long-term experience in fixed line messaging, belongs to the world leaders in this business
sector. The successful Fixed Net SMSC has already been put into operation through numerous national and international customers. With its Fixed Net SMSC, MATERNA, is the only company in the world, that appears on the market as both platform manufacturer and operator. Soon, its Fixed Net MMSC will be activated for the German market, having already been put into pilot operation.
Only recently, the efficiency of MATERNA products encountered international confirmation. The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) initiated a comprehensive test procedure to compare MATERNA´s Fixed Net SMS and MMS Center with similar products from other manufacturers. The aim was to check interoperability between all completely developed SMS, and in particular, MMS-enabled fixed line devices and service platforms. The sending and receiving of SMS and MMS between different fixed line devices were simulated in the test analysis of ISDN as well as analogue SMS and MMS devices. The job of the platforms was to receive and send incoming messages via an access server, used for SMS and MMS alike. The Anny Way Fixed Net SMS and MMS platforms created the notification messages and sent and delivered SMS and MMS messages, without any problems at all. The MATERNA products fulfilled all criteria completely.
Premium SMS also for the Fixed line
Fixed line services include SMS/MMS delivery from one fixed line phone to another national fixed line phone, according to the ETSI standards. If the addressee´s phone is not MMS-enabled, an SMS will be sent to this phone, showing a URL where the MMS can be found. If the telephone cannot receive text messages on its display, the short message will automatically be delivered as a speech message. Additionally, there is the possibility to send an SMS/MMS from the fixed line to an email address. Furthermore, this MATERNA service allows dispatch from a fixed line to wireless networks.
In combination with the Mobile Application and Content Server (MACS) by MATERNA, an efficient service delivery platform has been created; network operators have the possibility to provide their customers with Premium SMS via fixed line. The contents will be delivered to any cell phone and billed via the monthly fixed line charges.
