MATERNA, the information and telecommunications specialist, is presenting a new image at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from February 11 to 14, 2008 (hall 1, stand G05): The company is displaying its unique combination of technology and creativity under the “MATERNA Communications” master brand. At the fair, their focus will lie on content and device management, platform and gateways, national and international MVNE solutions, as well as fascinating mobile marketing and mobile entertainment products.
This established company has long been known for its innovative technological products: MACS, the high-performance service delivery platform, can for example fulfil extreme demands placed on content and device management and support the provision of all types of mobile content. However, the telecommunications specialist also develops customised content, such as ticker reports and SMS services, as well as mobile marketing campaigns that give the user up-to-date and specific information and advertisers new opportunities for expanding target groups and increasing customer loyalty.
In close operation with Bob Mobile AG and the licenser Triple-M Music, MATERNA Communications created a new and extensive product range for marketing the international band US5. For example digital content combined with articles in promotion booklets and magazines, Bluetooth marketing at concerts, TV appearances on the music channels, on-pack promotion with exclusive extras for album purchasers, a mobile star portal and online promotion are part of the innovative marketing package. Based on the MACS platform, reliable billing systems and the creative department that joined it in 2005, MATERNA Communications can provide a one-stop solution for professional content marketing by network providers, service providers, businesses and media houses.
Platform management for innovative music downloading
As an extension to the MACS platform, MusicMACS from MATERNA Communications can offer a full track music download portal that supports downloading music on mobiles and computers. MACS is also the technical foundation for the musicbons, recently launched by Sony BMG and 234 AG. These are pre-paid cards for music downloads. To start with the cards will be available in all the German branches of the electronic shop SATURN and can be redeemed at the musicbon web site by entering a 12-digit code. The streaming player implemented by MATERNA Communications also allows users to set up a personal online music collection that can be accessed from any computer connected to the Internet.
International MVNE supplier with one-stop solutions
The TRILINK platform for convergent messaging, which was given the “European Excellence in Technology of the Year” award by Frost & Sullivan and the celebrated Mobile Internet Gateway are just two of the highly efficient network elements that MATERNA Communications has to enable interested companies to set up their own mobile phone brand. As the first real German MVNE, under the vistream brand, the telecommunications service supplier from Dortmund adopts the role of a mobile network operator for its customers and provides technical, legal and administrative support. In conjunction with the customer, the company also develops customised international models, that in addition to tariff development and various billing modules, also include a wide range of value-added services based on SMS, MMS and voice solutions.
First time with a new name
MATERNA will be presenting its telecommunications products for the first time under the new "MATERNA Communications” master brand at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
