MATERNA provides Fixed Net SMS solution for Swisscom
MATERNA successful on the Swiss market

MATERNA Information & Communications, specialist in the area of information and communications, was chosen by Swisscom Fixnet as supplier of its Fixed Net SMS solution. MATERNA will also provide the according maintenance service.
MATERNA, one of the fixed net messaging pioneers, made a considerable contribution to the ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) standardisation. Furthermore, since 2002, MATERNA has been operating its own F-SMS service for more than 2 million customers..
In August 2005, Swisscom Fixnet began to offer Fixed Net SMS for analogue and ISDN telephone connections, according to ETSI standard, allowing for convenient sending and receiving of SMS within the land line of Switzerland. Thomas Tzschoppe, Manager of MATERNA Switzerland, said: “We are glad that Swisscom Fixnet, leader on the Swiss telecommunications market, decided in favour of our Fixed Net SMS solution. The introduction of the Fixed Net SMS service offers Swisscom customers an added value as well as new sales channels for corporate customers“.
MATERNAs Fixed Net SMS-C is Premium SMS-enabled, allowing, in addition to the receiving and sending of usual SMS messages, for value added services, known from the telecommunications world.
