MediaPlazza uses PSMS services by MATERNA to bring mobile content to the German market

Payment via PSMS Premium Service Number

MediaPlazza, worldwide leader of wireless content on the Internet, connected to more than 120 carriers in more than 45 countries, giving access to 750 million cell phones with a range of more than 30 000 mobile products, now utilizes the PSMS numbers service management (Premium SMS) by MATERNA Information & Communications for order and payment of ringtones, logos and Java games download in Germany. The platform is operated in MATERNA´s data center, in Dortmund, Germany.

 

MediaPlazza’s customers send premium SMS messages to a series of PSMS numbers and order the desired content. This content is then delivered to MediaPlazza’s customers directly OTA or via MATERNA’s Wap-Push Proxy Gateway to the German networks. 

 

At launch, MediaPlazza has made the MATERNA PSMS platform available to MediaPlazza’s customers in Germany in the respective national language. Other countries are to follow soon. Today, several PSMS numbers are in use at various end-user price levels. An innovative monthly-based subscription service will also shortly allow on-demand content provisioning. Alos, SMS and MMS –based applications will be soon be offered by MATERNA to MediaPlazza’s customers, using this PSMS order mechanism.

 

The PSMS order system by MATERNA is part of a comprehensive range of micro-payment solutions. This includes, besides Premium SMS and Premium MMS, the solution Anny Way Buy Mobile which can be used for both, billing of mobile services and payment of Internet contents. With MT (Mobile Terminated) Billing for SMS and MMS the comfortable payment of mobile subscription services is available. With all mobile payment methods offered by MATERNA the user identifies through his/her mobile number and immediately receives access to the desired content. The billing will afterwards be processed via the user´s mobile phone invoice and/or prepaid account.
