Vietnamese telecommunications group has decided in favour of MATERNA-Anny Way
With immediate effect, the Vietnamese telecommunications group VNPT is deploying the Anny Way solution FSMSC (Fixed-net-SMSC) in order to allow their customers a simple and cost-effective way of sending their fixed-net SMS. An expansion of this solution in the near future has already been announced and also the use of the innovative feature “Voice SMS” by Anny Way could be considered by VNPT.
„VNPT“ (Vietnam Post and Telematics), a public operating company founded in 1993, is also acting as a regulator for all data networks in Vietnam. At the moment, there are more than 7 million telephone lines in Vietnam of which 96 % belong to VPNT. In contrast to that, the mobile phones sector is subject to a stiff competition and several operators like Vina Phone, Mobiphone, Viettel, S-Phone and EVN are fighting for a constantly rising number of mobile phone users which amounted to approx. 6 million in 2006.
