Dortmund/Hanover, 9 March 2006
At CeBIT 2006, MATERNA Information & Communications, specialist for information and telecommunications technology, introduces its new Mobile Unified Messaging solution, enabling to contact users under their fixed line telephone number, wherever they are. At the same time, data within the familiar Outlook environment can be accessed from any location, which requires only a notebook with WLAN or UMTS access. This new service is based on MATERNAs Unified Messaging solution ”Office EDITION“, which has been successful for many years.
Documents of all descriptions are transported within the company. The communication spectrum ranges from simple memo, over e-mail messages, through to routing of phone calls or fax documents from the telephone system to the user´s workplace, by means of defined direct access numbers. For this, it is necessary to secure that all messages reach the addressed persons, wherever their workplace is, without any delay. Service orientation and complex customer demands require increasingly fast reactions.
The new Mobile Unified Messaging enables users to access data, such as addresses, telephone numbers and notes, within the Outlook environment. The notebook used to set up a connection to the central server and to retrieve data, uses WLAN or UMTS, depending on the availability. The latest thing about the MATERNA solution is that users can now also be contacted and make phone calls per VoIP, over their (office) landline number. All you need is a headset connected to the notebook. All Outlook features, required to make a phone call, are also provided.
Also available now is Office EDITION version 4.2.2.0, offering companies and public authorities, represented at different locations, a new feature. The support of various area codes allows the central server of a company to recognize fax messages and to forward them to its subsidiaries. So far, this was only possible with telephone calls.
MATERNAs product Office EDITION contributes to more company efficiency and productivity and also makes for a better availability of employees. Standardized interfaces for any type of message, text/speech conversion and a feature to call up messages by means of phone or Internet, make Office EDITION the ideal base for a logical and continuous information supply. Office EDITION can be completely integrated into corporate processes and integrate into Microsoft Exchange/Outlook or Lotus Notes, respectively.
