MATERNA to Deliver European Third Party Content to Wireless Subscribers in North America

MATERNA Information & Communications today announced a new service that gives European media, content, and application providers an easy and efficient way to tap into the U.S. and Canadian wireless markets.
“MATERNA has created a single interface for European third party companies to implement premium content--ringtones, images, games, chat services and promotions -- across virtually all handset types, applications, and U.S. and Canadian carrier networks,” said MATERNA CEO Helmut an de Meulen.
In addition to its data centers in Europe, MATERNA has launched its Mobile Application and Content Server (MACS) platform on a new data center in the U.S. This enables media, content, and application providers with the ability to generate substantial new revenues by tapping the growing U.S. and Canadian consumer demand for information, promotions and entertainment to be delivered through their existing wireless devices.
