MATERNA at the greatest Asian communications event, for the first time
Attractive solutions for wireless and fixed line network

For the first time, MATERNA Information & Communications, Dortmund-based telecommunications specialist, is presenting itself at the „Communic Asia“, taking place from 14 to 17 June, in Singapore. The particular products, which will be demonstrated at stand 5J1-10, are MACS (Mobile Application Content Server), MMS2TV and Fixed Net SMS.
After the foundation of a subsidiary in Singapore, in 2004, MATERNA has continuously intensified its Asia business. The telecommunications market in the Southern East of Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore, is particularly interesting for MATERNA. The presentation at the biggest communication fair trade of Asia is mainly to appeal to regional wireless and fixed network operators. The company from Dortmund considers its longtime expertise in the European telecommunications industry and comprehensive international knowledge in the segment of mobile data services as being its crucial competitive advantage.
One of the products presented at the “Communic Asia“ is MACS, an efficient infrastructure for mobile services, which will be extended by a music download platform, in sommer. In contrast to existing products, the MATERNA product will support full track music download onto both PC and mobile phone.
Furthermore, MATERNA will present its successful Fixed Net SMS Center, which has already been put into operation with many national and international customers. MATERNA is the first company in the world that is both manufacturer and operator of a platform, Fixed Net SMS Center, at the same time. In combination with MACS, network operators have the possibility to offer contents via the fixed line network. The contents can be sent to any mobile phone and will be billed via the conventional monthly telephone invoice.
MMS2TV is a solution by MATERNA to connect the fixed net with the world of mobile data in an innovative way. The MMS2TV client enables all TV users to send, receive and save MMS messages. The client provides a feature that makes it possible to send, receive and save all messages sent from the fixed net or from a wireless network. Users receive the messages on the screen and can answer with a text message or pictures from the gallery, using the remote control.
